Schools

The public school system in the Centre Grey area is administered by the Bluewater District School Board, Chesley. In each of our Villages of Markdale, Flesherton, Maxwell and Dundalk, there are English language public elementary schools. A French language immersion program is offered in Flesherton. There is a public English language secondary school in Flesherton. A comprehensive and integrated School Board operated bus system serves all of these schools.

The Catholic school system in the Centre Grey area is administered by the Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board, Hanover. An elementary school is in Durham (20 minutes away) and a Secondary School is in Owen Sound (35 minutes away). Busing is provided for both.

There is an elementary and secondary French Catholic School in Owen Sound, Ecole Saint-Dominique-Savio.
