The local churches or congregations include Anglican, Baptist, Catholic, Church of Christ, Gentle Shepherd, Jehovah Witness, Methodist, Nazarene, Pentecostal, Presbyterian and United. In Owen Sound, you will find a Synagogue and a meeting place where Jumma Prayers are held at 1:45 p.m.

There is a large Mennonite community. Many churches offer outreach programs.

Dining Out

Locally you will find primarily, family-style restaurants, some licensed and some not. During the winter season, the local restaurants are extremely busy due to the influx of weekend skiers. While there are no fast-food franchises in the Centre Grey area, there is a great selection of healthy-choice lunch bars and locally-owned fast-food style eateries. There are several local restaurants which are considered to be fine dining establishments: Tyrolean, Italian, and good old fashioned Canadian-American cuisine at its finest.
